Everton manager Roberto Martinez is considering one last foray into the transfer market this summer to sign either Samuel Eto’o or Danny Welbeck, according to the Express. Welbeck has been told that he can leave Manchester United by Louis van Gaal, while Eto’o is available on a free transfer after being released by Chelsea in the summer. However, Martinez believes that the club’s finances will dictate whether they are able to complete moves for either of the pair. Welbeck is thought to cost in the region of £15 million if he can’t be secured on loan, while Eto’o wants a 2-year contract worth €3.5m per year. He said: “There is a lot of money involved in those two. At the moment, if I am honest with you, I am looking at all the options. While the window is open we are looking at anyone who can help us and also looking at our injured players and seeing how they react. Bryan Oviedo and Arouna Kone will have a big say on how we end the window and I have an open mind about it. Everton have opened their Premier League campaign with two consecutive 2-2 draws with Leicester and Arsenal.
